It couldn't have been ten minutes before the forest opened up and before our eyes, at the bottom of the steep sand cliffs, flowed the mass of swirling waters known as the Yukon River. A beautiful river with a rich history, I stood impressed on two counts: the magnificence of the view and that this was in my buddies back yard. What a spot!
