Grass Island Caption: "Grass Island", 8" x 4.25" oil on linen "My 9 year old daughter Sydney and I snuck out of the studio to explore some local scenery with an eye to starting a new small canvas. As we hiked along the Humber Valley trail just outside of Bolton, we climbed down to the river's edge where I came upon this scene. I liked the way the soft light fell upon the top of the grasses, and the way the light played on the water's surface. Haing one of my girls there with me, doing her own inspired sketches, made for a memorable time." STATUS: Private Collection
