By The Bay Caption: "By The Bay", 12" x 7.5" oil on linen ""A visit to our neighbour's cottage this summer gave me the perfect opportunity for a little morning escape. Rising with the sun, I paddled my canoe through the mist on Paint Lake to a small creek that led me to this morning view of Lake of Bays. Tucked in amongst the arrowheads, I painted as the mist slowly burn off, with squabbling mallards surrounding me on every side. I think that's what you call true "surround sound"!
