"Log Hawg" depicts Canadian fishing personality Bob Izumi fishing for his favorite species; the largemouth bass. The making of this painting was chronicled on Bob's Real Fishing Show, (see episode highlights below), where the full painting process was explored, from scuba diving for reference to painting in my studio in Caledon East. The inspiration for the piece came from a trip out fishing with Bob during the fiming of the episode. It was tough fishing that day, with only one fish. However, it was the biggest largemouth bass that Bob had ever caught on film in Ontario: 6lbs. 14oz. What a hawg!"
The painting is now available as a limited edition reproduction and each is co-signed by myself and Bob Izumi, comes with a certificate of authenticity, and is printed on pH neutral, acid free paper using Lite Fast Ink.
